Answer» okay this has been happening for about a couple of weeks now...and its really pissing me off...
everytime i try to click on a link that opens up a new window...IE would freeze up for about 2 mins or so and the new window wouldnt pop up..i always have to copy and paste the link to make it work
and to open up IE i cant click on the icon.. i have to right click it and select open..

Merlin, I think the SFC /SCANNOW command is the command I require to repair my Windows XP. (It scans for missing files, assumably) It is a SHAME I cannot try it on my own computer at the moment, but I thank you for POSTING that link.If you try to REMOVE Internet Explorer in add and remove PROGRAMMES, you should be given the option to repair.
