Have you installed anything recently?no nothing do you think it might be a bad video card or just my computer just frikin old it is about 10 years old but in those 10 years it was great no problems Well, maybe not. Did the reformat go smoothly? Try something.... Go to Start Menu > Internet Explorer (no add-ons). Any better, speed wise?Also.... Did you try Firefox? What type of connection is it? See, if same thing happens in Safe Mode with Networking.hi the the connection is dsl 546 i tried in safe mode and its actually faster and theres no errors why is that.I suspect Norton, but... ...did you try Firefox in Normal Mode?hi thanks for the replys i installed firefox and this came up Failed to Connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at ca.firefox.yahoo.com. Though the site seems valid, the browser was unable to establish a connection. * Could the site be temporarily unavailable? Try again later. * Are you unable to browse other sites? Check the computer's network connection. * Is your computer or network protected by a firewall or proxy? Incorrect settings can interfere with Web browsing. i hit try again and nothing let me know if you have any ideas thanks Uninstall Norton, using this tool: http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039 See, what will happen.hi i did everything you said it works great with firefox but EI still the same im going to stick with firefox thanks guys for all your help very much appreciatedVery good Since you did your computer a big favor by dumping Norton, you need some new protection. Free alternatives: - Avast! free antivirus: http://filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/ - Avira free antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/index.html - free PC Tools Firewall Plus: http://www.pctools.com/firewall/ - free Comodo Internet Security (firewall + AV): http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/ If you decide to install Avast, or Avira, make sure, Windows firewall is turned on, or use PC Tools Firewall Plus. If you decide to install Comodo, make sure, Windows firewall is turned off. IMPORTANT! Make sure, you use only ONE antivirus, and ONE firewall. |
