Answer» Some how in the process of downloading SOMETHING(can't remember what) i got some Fake ware on my computer. I used Windows defender, Malwarebytes, Spybot search and destroy, and Smitfraudfix to clear everything HARMFUL off. At this time I was able to connect to the internet.
After everything was clean I needed to move my computer and modem into another room. A tech guy from my ISP moved the outlet and left. Now anything that uses the internet cannot connect and when I pull up any browser its just blank. I can ping any site in "cmd" and I have a 0% packet loss and Avg: 34ms. and I can connect my laptop to the modem and it works just fine. Also I have a Linksys Wireless router (WRT54G v.3) and that will send a signal but no internet it broke at the same time.
Computer specs: Win Xp home 34bit Service pack 3 AMD Athlon 64 processor 4000+ 2.41 GHz, 2.00 GB Ram I use Firefox for a browserTurn off computer. Disconnect router, and modem from power source for 30 seconds. Power them back on. Restart computer.
If that doesn't work, bypass router, and connect computer STRAIGHT to the modem.
If that doesn't work... Go Start>Run (Start search in Vista), type in: cmd Click OK (in Vista, while holding CTRL, and SHIFT, press Enter).
In Command Prompt window, type in following commands, and hit Enter after each one: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns ipconfig /release ipconfig /renew
Restart computer.
If that doesn't work... Go Start>Run (Start search in Vista), type in: cmd Click OK (in Vista, while holding CTRL, and SHIFT, press Enter).
