Answer» Well FOLKS, after my 5 1/2 year old laptop died a few weeks ago, I bought an HP notebook PC on Feb. 21; it has Windows 8 which comes with IE 10. I have not installed any other browser yet. I must say IE 10, on this NEW system, is rendering WEB pages quite fast. I might stick with it for now on this computer. By the way, I read somewhere earlier today that MS is releasing IE 10 (a final release, not a beta version) for Windows 7 soon.
