Answer» Hi - I am running Internet Explorer 7 on my Dell PC, using Windows XP Home. I am connecting to the Web with no problems but WHENEVER I try to access what I guess is a 'secure' site (such as my Bank's internet banking site) I can't access that page. I receive a message that says "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage ...".
Help!

The very first thing to try is to use Firefox, and see, if same thing will happen. Thanks Broni. I have just downloaded Firefox with no problems. However, when I try to access it I get the following message
Unable to connect Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.bigpond.com.
* The site could be TEMPORARILY unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Any other ideas? I have TRIED playing around with the security settings in IE but to no avail.Next thing to check is, if you can connect from SAFE Mode.Contact your bank about this. They probably have someone who answers questions of this type. They should be able to advise you about browser settings required to access their site. And, if you can resolve the problem with your banking site, I'd bet you'll also be able to access other secure sites then.www.bigpond.com is not secure site, so other then "bigpond", and your bank site, are you having any problems with any other site? Did you try Safe Mode? What firewall do you use?
