Solve : Internet Explorer locks up on certain websites?

Every time I use my favorites LIST to reach Google and Yahoo, Internet EXPLORER locks up on me. It does not happen with other search engines. I am using XP
I recommend Firefox as an ALTERNATIVE browser.
