Solve : Internet explorer won't open but firefox is OK?

Hi, I am having problems with internet explorer on one user on my PC. Firefox opens OK on all users but iE won't open on my user ACCOUNT .iE opens on other ACCOUNTS. I am using Vista premium home on the PC in question.
I assumed that there was something blocking it but have turned off all other programs & still no success.
I have cleared the ie history etc and even reset it to default SETTINGS.
Any advice appreciated. Thank you.

How are you trying to open IE and what exactly HAPPENS?
