Solve : internet explorer wont download programs?

1.	Solve : internet explorer wont download programs?
Answer» i just got a toshiba satellite laptop with windows VISTA. I've been having loads of small problems. In internet explorer I havent been able to download firefox, or torrent files. When i HIT save the window just disappears, if i hit run it will look LIKE its downloading but as soon as it says it downloads the whole thing the window disappears so i cant open the file. i also cant find the files anywhere when searching. i read some help online that said i should change the options in internet explorer only to find when i go to tools and down to internet options and click on internet options an hourglass appears for a SECOND then GOES away and nothing else happens. anyone know what might be going on? thanks for reading. sara Well what protection do you have?
