My question is;
Can I get a full version of IE8 download anywhere?
I have some old desktop COMPUTERS with XP. I would like to sell them to local experimenters.
Of course, XP is not supported. Nor is IE8. I know, I know. Without a working OS the old PCs are near worthless. I would like to sell them with the XP that is already on them. But they OUGHT to have IE8 rather than IE6. If possible.
So, is there some way to get a full version of IE8 without breaking the law?

Problem. When I try to execute it on XP, I get an error message and there is no way to get around it. It says something to the effect that it can not install on this OS.
Funny. I have another PC with XP SP3 and it has IE8. Strange.

ALSO I seem to remember you might have done that POSReady hack? If so, it might not allow itself to be installed on there.POSReady hack?
Goo memory! I forgot about that. I am going to find one of my other machines abd see. I only did the POS hack on this machine. That might be the problem.

I got an older XP machine I did a clean install about two weeks ago. That clean machine already had IE8. I THINK that during the install and updates it automatically got IE8. So then, of clean install of XP bring IE8.

Also, the clean machine l let me do Adobe flash 19.

Solved two problems at once. Best guess is the POS hack messed me up.
