Answer» hi all
I just set up a network for two computers, and now want to play C&C Generals Zero hour over the network. I can set up the game on one computer, but when the other one tries to JOIN it, I get a message SAYING: "You serial is already in use" What does this mean? how can I fix it???
Thanks, Network noviceIt means you have used the same serial key to install both copies of C&C. You are only allowed to run one instance of that serial key at any one time, hence why the two copies will not play together. You will need to buy (or otherwise) a new serial key for one of the machines. Is it illegal to use a mate's CD key, even if you own a legal copy yourself?Yes.bummerJust use your own CD key.But I've only got one CD between two computers. Is there any way to get it to work without a second CD?You said you had a legal copy - use that one on your PC and have your FRIEND use his CD on his PC. If I misread it and you don't have a legal copy, buy one.Just accidently type in your friend's serial key on one of the computers. Sory if I was unclear: I want to play with my brother over our LAN, but we only have one copy between us. I want to find a way of doing it without the expence of buying another copy, but I don't want to do anything illigal. Is there anything I can do?No. Other than buy another copy.

Or remove the above line Zero Hour is like 9.00 in the store just buy another OK, Thanks for all the help.
