Solve : LANing Games?

Answer»

okay, I have the matrix, halo possibly the sims2 aviable for NETWORK play.  The thing is that I have tried doing this before to little luck.  I got a new mb for my gamer so it has two on board nic's and I can probably add a thrid.  Also, my setup is completely wired an runs threw a hub.  Also, HATE to use something like gamespy or w/e since I have a slow internet connection an such.So....what's the problem?that i dont know what to do at all......  What to do about what?laning them to other machines. You want them all to be on the same network?

Right Click My Computer on each of them, go to Properties, click the Computer Name tab, and make sure they all have the same Workgroup.so thats all I have to do no like ip address or anything?  I dont recall seeing any of that when you want multiplayer. Quote

Because you don't configure workgroups in GAMES and you don't need to configure it for online multiplayer.cause I dont know what I'm doing for the most PART.  I said not for online play but you just said any way.Just follow my steps and you will know what you are doing.  which are?-.-

Look up.

No not at your ceiling, look at the previous posts in this TOPIC. Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on May 09, 2009, 08:05:11 AM

That dont tell me much
Up a bit more. There's this really cool new website, http://www.google.com. If you go there and search for "setting up LAN party", you will find a lot of tutorials on how to do just this. It's really amazing what Google can do, you should check it out.
