Answer»

Greetings,
I am new to Linux and am trying to install AIM. I am running Fedora Core, so on http://www.aim.com/get_aim/linux/latest_linux.adp (the site where you d/l aim) I chose tgz to install it. If someone WOULD walk me step by step i would be oh so great full.
Thank you in advance.
P.S if you need anymore information let me know but please tell me how to get the information unless its REALLY obvious. You're making life unduly complicated for yourself. >READ this FAQ<.Quote

Thank you so much but i still need help with installation of tgz programs
ill check out the rest of that site and see what it has maybe it can also help..tgz is the file extension for a compressed archive. To access the CONTENTS of the archive, issue the command "tar zxf filename.tgz". What you do next depends on what is in the archive. RTFM for more details.Ok, will do thanks you again.
