I have LEFT my labtop (win xp, ethernet LAN connection) for a few HOURS downloading a movie, when I CAME back the movie was perfect but my INTERNET connection was gone. The modem seems ok, cables are fine and the usual lights are on.
I ran MSConfig on the desktop, and under settings activated ... Ping statistics for 192.168.0.1: Packets: Sent = 4, received = 0, lost =4 <100% Loss> ...
Any suggestion??

whats the specs on your machine os etc
what are you using for protection
antivirus antispyware
unlovedwarriorDid you try restarting the machine?
Again, details are always helpful.Try turning off your modem or unplugging it, then turn it back on.
