Answer» I've accidently clicked on something on the screen and it removed the internet ACCESS icon from my start menu, now I have to go to "my computer", then to "favorites" to get on the net. I can't find this OPTION anywhere to restore the icon.. how do I do it? now I have to go to "my computer", then to "favorites" to get on the net.The statement above doesn't make much sense. Internet Explorer should be on your Programs menu. That's the most logical way to open it if you have no shortcut icon on your Start Menu. Is it not in your Programs menu? It can also be easily moved from there to the Desktop using Drag and Drop... No matter what Win version...I'm using windows 7. And, your statement about an "internet connection" doesn't make sense. In Windows 7, right click on Internet Explorer on the Programs menu and select "Pin to Start Menu". That will restore the missing icon. Okay I FOUND it in the "programs". when i select it to be pinned top the start menu, nothing happens. I can however pin it to the task bar.I actually believe he's lost his connection...not an Icon...I can drag it to the desktop as a shortcut, but not the start menu ( the one along the bottom) which is where it always has been.Nevermind everyone, it worked as you said, it was covered up by another icon, many thanks from the old man.
