|
Answer» Right, the first few times I tried to install, it said something about a wise.dll file that could not be extracted and it also said, CRC does not match?? I can load the game Game? MAGIX Music Maker isnt a game. I have it on my PC. Its for doing what it says on the tin - making music.this is the error message: An I\O error OCCURRED while installing a file. This is usually caused by bad installation media or a corrupt installation file. abort\retry when i abort it says "corrupt installation file" What Operating System? Did you try to re-download the file?Again... Quote from: quaxo on June 27, 2008, 04:43:55 AM Is this a legitimate copy of the program from http://www.magix.com, or was this downloaded through Limeware, BitTorrent, or the like?Quote from: quaxo on June 27, 2008, 08:23:28 AM Again...I edited my post to get rid of the word 'real' from "Did you try to re-download the real file?" ALTHOUGH it could just be a bad download. Its a genuine copy of the game, Its off the cd - rom. I use windows xp. Ive tried re - installing many times. How old is this software? Have you tried cleaning the CD or the optical lens of the player? CDs will degrade after time (a long time), bit it would SEEM there's a problem copying the file over....which can only lead me to believe, either the disc is dirty, damaged...or the drive is dirty. If you have the CD, try installing it on another computer and see if the process will complete. If it does, the problem is most likely your CD drive. If the same issue occurs, there's probably a problem with the CD. You'll have to contact Magix to see if you can get the disc replaced. |
