Solve : multiple window problem?

Answer»

I'm here again with yet another problem..lol today, I opened Ie 7 and windows live messenger, and the live messenger window stopped responding and it wouldn't close. I tried to end the program using the keys and that wouldn't work either. the only thing that works is logging off windows. then later I opened two IE browser windows, one stopped responding and did the same thing the messenger window did, freeze up on the toolbar and was unable to be closed/terminated. as a matter of fact it is still there..LOL

any help suggestions?
cc (computer novice) Is your AV program up to date? Checked for spywares?yes, I did a scan with spybot, and Norton anti-virus the other day, and it found a tracking COOKIE, and several spyware that have been removed since then. I may try another scan later though, to see if it missed anything. Thanks again!!!Get also HijackThis, and post its log in "Computer Viruses and Spyware" forum.Okay, I'll try that too Whats specs are you running...

...and you didn't try to turn off your computer manually? It's not a normal way to exit Windows, but sometimes it's the only choice. Maybe, you just need a restart. It hasn't had this problem since then, but I'll let you know if it does. Quote from: Broni on October 09, 2007, 07:28:40 PM

I've had to exit windows manually before, mainly because of Java issues.
