Answer» I am trying to get Maplestory to run smoothly. I have this problem where I get logged in, but after that the music starts skipping, I can log in, and such. But the music continues to skip, and eventually crashes. I can't click on the SYSTEM Options while this happens, or the game freezes.
This only recently started happening, I was playing fine about three days ago.
I am running Windows 98, if that is of any help. =P My display driver is RAGE 128 Pro, it's pretty ancient... If there is anything else you would need to know, let me know how to get you the information and I'll get it.
I'm assuming this is a fairly easy problem to diagnose though. Thanks.Try reinstalling the game.I've done it. I can't think of what to do. Maybe something is just overheating, I'll just keep my PC shut off overnight and HOPE it helps. O__oI have a funny overheating story to share.
I had a DotA CLAN match on one evening and my dodgy modem kept overheating.
It DISCONNECTED me every 5-10 minutes
So 10 mins b4 the game as a last resort i got a bag of frozen peas from the freezer and sat the modem on it.
Its worked fine for the rest of the night.
i have since replace that modem because i was spending far too much on frozen goods.
Moral of the story put a bag of peas inside your computer.
that is all.
PS: Dont do it
