Solve : Need help with old PC game - Monster Jam Maximum Destruction? |
|
Answer» We've bought an old PC game "Monster Jam Maximum" for our 6 year old son. Tried installing it on four different computers, each time it installed, but when attemped playing the game, the same message kept popping up :"The Monster Jam window has been minimized EITHER by the user or by another application. Monster Jam does not support minimization. Please close any applications that are running & restart Monster Jam." We didn't run any other applications along with the game. We tried starting the game using maximized window but that didn't help, neither. In fact, we bought a second game (identical) and the same problem occurred. Anyone can give us any suggestions on how to get this resolved? Welcome aboard Welcome aboard Broni: Searched for Google, found it for PC. Here's the system requirements for it: Hardware Requirements Windows 9x/2000/ME/XP ;Processor: Pentium II 450 MHz or Higher ;Video Card: 16 MB 3D Video Card ;Hard Drive: 1 GB HD CD-ROM: 4x or Faster ;RAM: 128 MB RAM I see...thanks.Thanks quaxo for answering that question for me. I have tried, so far, with two computers (laptop and desktop) that have Wins 98, two different desktops with Wins XP but none of them work. Each one of them gave us the same message. Any ideas? There is a slight possibility of bad CD. Did you buy it BRAND new?Quote from: Broni on December 01, 2007, 09:56:44 PM There is a slight possibility of bad CD. Did you buy it brand new? Quote In fact, we bought a second game (identical) and the same problem occurred. Not the disk, they've tried two. That's right. Both CDs were new. One was bought in a local store and the second one we bought online. I am not sure what could possibly minimize the program window. Any ideas?Well, if another program opens or performs an action in the background it can sometimes cause other programs (especially full screen programs like games) to minimize. Common culprits include: messenger, anti-virus software, and small programs running on the taskbar.I think quaxo is up to something. Try to open that game in Safe Mode. I know, GRAPHICS are gonna be awful, but this is just an experiment. Thanks again. Safe mode? How do I do that? When you restart your computer, keep tapping F8 key, some options will show up.Cool. Will try it tomorrow. The little boy is getting very frustrated. Keeping my fingers crossed. Will keep you posted. Thanks again.Tried using safe mode to start the game but got the same message. Any other suggestions before we have to give up? |
