Solve : new internet program - internet explorer shuts dow? |

Answer» I just signed my hubby up for a Hotmail Account. When he tries to send a message he gets an error message "Internet Explorer has experiences a problem and needs to shut down............" What is the problem? ShariWindows version? Service PACK? Any relevant history? Did it work absolutely fine before and now except for this ONE issue? WHat spyware/virus protection are you using?Thanks for responding. Windows XP, never had the problem before but I have been having trouble when I boot up the "E" for EMachine doesnt always go away and I have to push the button to turn the machine off, sometimes for a couple of times; WOULD that make a difference? This could be a problem with the power supply. eMachines are notorious for bad or weak power supplies that OFTEN take out the motherboard or other components when they go. I don't think this is necessarily related to the other problem, but I would be concerned. I would also start by testing the RAM and hard drive. www.memtest86.com for a RAM checker and the appropriate hard drive maker's site for free diagnostics. What are you using for virus protection by the way? Is that Service Pack 2? I am using Spysweeper, and McAfee. I scanned with both programswith no problems showing up. Yes it is Service Pack 2. ( is that the same as Windows update )No Symantec is Nortons so you have updated your protection package not Windows...Thanks so much.
