Solve : No Google?

Answer»

I uninstalled my fire fox browser and reinstalled and still no access to google even installed IE 7 no access to google. I believe the problem is in the XP operating system somewhere. I did try running without a fire wall and did not help, if there is something from PREVENTING access to google in my computer how would you go about finding it?

JohnI suggest you run the Fix it tool found at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034 to reset the Hosts FILE back to the default. This may not resolve the issue but it's worth a try. Or, you can open the Hosts file with Notepad to view it and manually edit it, as explained at the above link. Just for shirts and giggles what PROTECTION apps do you have on this PC ? ?No protection except what comes on the XP disk. I am going to try the fix it tool above mention.
I did PUT google ip address 74.125.236.81 and it takes you to there search page but when you go to bottom of page and click on home page you get nothing.

JohnIt does now work the fix it tool fixed the problem I now can access Google.

Thanks
