Could be that you need a legal copy of the game. We do not help with warez and cracks on this forum. Thanks. Just for the record IT IS A LEGAL COPY OF THE GAME. Sharing games with your friends is perfecty legal..getting a no-cd patch just saves me having to burn the CD/DVD.....ne way..yes my graphics cables are connected...and i tried to ajust my display setting but still the same problem... As for the patch i couldnt get it to work..in fact i got two different ones and when i try to install them, they just freeze and then stop resoanding after a while... does anyone have any other ideas? thankyou.Interesting news on the web: No-CD Patch Bethesda have taken a major step in the fight against stupid, intrusive copy protection systems by not using TROUBLESOME protection software such as SecuROM or StarForce on Oblivion. These copy protection systems cause many problems and performance issues on most PCs, however fortunately Oblivion avoids these and simply has a basic DVD check in place. I can't provide you with the details of how to obtain a No-DVD patch for Oblivion for legal reasons, but I can say that keeping the disc in the drive does not impact on your performance at all. Furthermore, I want to stress that since Oblivion is arguably one of the best PC games available to date, noone should have any excuse for pirating this game. If you can afford a PC, and the game is available in your country, you can afford this game. A lot of people constantly whine about SecuROM or StarForce, but here we have a major games studio which has taken the gamble of not using such a restrictive protection system on such an amazing game - let's prove that they did not make a commercial mistake. Purchase a legitimate copy of the game as it will give you literally hundreds of hours of amazing gameplay, and given the way it can scale upwards, it will remain replayable for at least the next couple of years, ready to increase the eye candy for that next new machine or hardware upgrade you undertake. Here is the full article: http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_4.htmlIt suprises me that they haven't cottoned on to the fact that if they don't tell us it is a pirate/dodgy/nocd-patched version of the game, then we won't know.Yes please purchase a copy of the game. The pc gaming market is not in very good shape...a little bit to blame is bootleggers. If you dont believe me just go to your local gamestop or electronics boutique and take a look on how much they have downsized the pc game section Pay for computer games it will help keep the industry alive... Quote It suprises me that they haven't cottoned on to the fact that if they don't tell us it is a pirate/dodgy/nocd-patched version of the game, then we won't know. We have learned that many of the Windows problems seen here are from bootleg/pirated disks. It would follow that many of the game problems fall in the same category. Really no surprise at all. Game manufacturers will continue trying to stop bootlegging just as Microsoft has. A NECESSARY evil for their bottom line. Quote Just for the record IT IS A LEGAL COPY OF THE GAME. Sharing games with your friends is perfecty legal OMG!! NO IT'S NOT LEGAL! I don't know who is fooling you, but stealing a copy of someone elses purchase with regards to software, is NOT legal! It's called Copyright infringement. Read it! http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/F?c105:1:./temp/~c105vT0IO9:e11962: Just because the law currently states you can backup your software does not mean you have the right to break copyright laws by circumventing the means of protection -- which is exactly what you are doing. i live in australia, its legal here. |
