Answer»

Newbie* game playing...  <<<<   purchased this today.
WNDS-XP
3.06 GHz CEL D    1.0 gig ram    120  HD  (75 free)
Nvidia GForce 7300 GS   256MB     PCI-E          DirectX 9.0 <

GOING to install this tonight and try it out.  What should I close down, disable, etc..  before installing...
Will my computer be able to handle this ?  ( Emachines 2 months old  t3422)
Will installation show/tell me how to  "set"  my settings  or do I do this beforehand?

Game system mins: 512 MB , 2 ghZ , 128 MB  Direct 3D & DirectX 9.0

I just want to make sure, will have an extra fan blowing in case for heat* :-/
Well if your computer meets the minimum requirements, I'd assume it would work. Only one way to find out.it might be a good idea to GET the latest directX. their lastest is 9.0c    OK so far, thanks for replies*You wont run it at Max , but it will run fine

It wont Even Run at max perfic on mine, That Game is a System Hog, and it Needs many Rams
And ive got , AMD64 Dual Core 4600, Geforce7950GX2 and 1 gig of ram, it needs 2 gig's of ram Set it to medium , but at the Upper end of MediumMy puter / video card ^ SEE above,  seems to be handling this game just fine.
Pretty impressive RPG  <<  so far.  I read a lot of the reviews and they seem to be pretty close to what I am experiencing. Does the game get easier for an older FART once you get used to the keyboard- action keys? I am slow to react to attacks* Had to re-install once , some  dll  file was missing? Any clues or hints on how to get out of the 1st "mission" would be appreciated, thanks.
Scottfirst mission? u mean where u follow the king and he dies then u have to escape? Quote

I think so, yes  I am in the sewers *  how do I aim the arrows "better" << having problems shooting.
** NEED ADVICE** again ~  "Tiger Woods 2006" PC game~ I cannot get that
game to recognize my walmart-bought PHILLIPS game controller? I cannot continue this game via the mouse anymore, I will go insane. I installed the drivers, then pluged-in the usb-controller, ran a trouble-shoot through windows and it recognized the controller. Says my drivers are there. But; in the device manager I cannot see the controller listed under printers/ or anything else? What did I do wrong?
Thanks for responding earlier. You Should see your Joy pad under game controllers in Control panel,

and in the Tiger woods game you should be able to set up the Controls for the Pad , in options > Controls

Set it to medium , but at the Upper end of Medium

With a 7300 GS, he wont even get it working on low. Quote

Help me out here:  I have the game on medium with the 2nd highest resolution setting from my lcd
I don't seem to have a problem with the game ? I know I am still in the sewers but there's no screen jump or fade in out, it seems just fine. Do I not have the video card working somehow?  Please inform.....I know its nothing great the  7300 GS   <<< but I am not a serious gamer by no means.*

Pan Boy  <<< thanks, will try the controller tonight, appreciate  info**"Do I not have the video card working somehow?"

If you "don't seem to have a problem with the game" then don't ask, you'll jinx it  Don't Worry about track , he doesn't seem to know what the limits of hard ware are, any 7 series Geforce card will play Oblivion, its one of those games that needs more Ram than it Needs GFX power

You may find when you go out side the Game performance gets a bit worse.

Also you can change how fast your mouse moves in one of the Control Settings pages , you may find it easier to aim with a slower moving mouse Quote
