Answer» Have been reading this forum on browsers, & I'm looking for a different one also. I use Hotmail to connect with family/friends, but don't like it. I'm tired of I.E. I have windows 7, use dial-up. Is any particular browser especially good for use with dial-up, since it is slower than HIGH SPEED ? I'd like to get my pc as SPEEDY as I can get it with dialup. What can help here ? I know I can delete programs I don't need, but when I look at these programs, I don't always UNDERSTAND what the terms mean, so how do I know which to delete ?I would take a look at Opera - it has a neat feature CALLED Opera Turbo which can compress web pages, this should speed up your browsing especially on a slower connection.I'd also check with your provider and see if DSL is available...a decent jump in speed for not that much extra.
