Solve : organizing favorites?

Answer»

is there any tool or function or option part of IE (I'm currently using 6.0) or that I can get (download MAYBE) that can help organize favorites?
SPECIFICALLY, is there a way I can, automatically, go through the favorites and have them checked if they are still valid/live sites?
Also, is there any display options I can set so I see the last TIME I accessed a particular site/link?
Thank you.Use a program (Free) called DeadLink to weed out sites that no longer work...

As to the organising question visit majorgeeks.com for quite a few choices...

patio. 8-)I don't think Rob has any programs like that in his Q&A thread, perhaps he should get some.
Have you tried it Patio?I believe you can find something here: Bookmark ManagersYes.
DeadLink works great...it took about 3 minutes to SCAN my bookmarks and tossed out about 150 or so...

There's an extension for it. I saw it not too long ago, but I forgot the name.Does it bug anyone that the favourites list and the start menu don't automatically sort alphabetically? Here's a useful hack, but only for those comfortable in the registry.

Start-->Run-->Regedit

HKCU-->Software-->Microsoft-->Windows-->CurrentVersion-->Explorer-->MenuOrder.

Delete the sub keys.

Right-click MenuOrder-->Permissions.

Click Advanced. Uncheck the "INHERIT..." box. Click OK; Copy.

Uncheck the "Full Control" box for you and any groups you're in. Click OK.

There you go: permanently sorted menus. Why on earth should it be that complicated though?!
