Solve : Painkiller?

Answer»

???What does Error: could not Initialze Dierct X9 Renderer mean? I've asked everyone and support from MS didn't help nor Dell. Painkiller won't even start because of it.Go to start>run & type dxdiag, make sure you have direct X 9 or better installed. It's up to 9.0c now.Thanx - I did that and unistalled and reinstalled Painkiller and Direct X 9 twice but I still GET that error message. I have enough Memory too.You may need to patch the game or your videocard is not capable of supporting the game.My display says I have Intel Graphic Controller, I ordered Integrated Intel Ectreme Graphics 2 when I bought my dell. It eas supposed to let me play games and it use to - like Tomb Raider and Battle of Middle Earth, but I had to reboot the whole thing because Intenet Explorer kept crashing. Could this be something that 's making it mess up?Can you contact painkiller's manufacturer's TECHNICAL support about this? I'm sure you aren't the only one with the problem... Also, are your video card drivers up to date?

[glb]Flame[/glb]How do I know if a video card is up to date. Is there a way to find out. I use the UPDATES on LINE but I haven't seen anything for them. I have just got the pc a few months ago and their help said they couldn't help. For updates for your video card, it is best that you go to your video card manufacturer's website...

[glb]Flame[/glb]What is the full name of your videocard?Isn't Intel Extreme Graphics 2 an onboard video? (Not sure)

[glb]Flame[/glb]Updates for an Onboard card wont do much... its prolly the onboard card thats causing the problem too. If your looking to do some gaming I really suggest getting an ACTUAL card, even a cheap 64MB will be a huge ugrade from the one you have at the moment. My friend (has an Onboard Geforce 2) had the same problem with GTA: Vice City, I lent him my video card, and he had no troubles from then on.Thanks everybody. I guess I just didn't get enough of a card when I ordered the pc. I'll start saving to get something better.Refer to the Intel website. It can supply you with a list of compatible games. If the game is compatible, the error is caused by a software issue.
