I recently had a problem with my browser, Netscape 7.1, and the techie at my server support changed my PASSWORD to access my e-mail on my server. He told me that I had to change the password on my Netscape. Where do I do that he told me that that was my problem because heh wasn't familiar with netscape. I tried PREFERENCES and Mail &Newsgroups but there doesn't seem to be a plac to change my access password. Presently, everytime I try the e-mail, I get the messagt to the effect that .... authentication failed...
Anybody here can help me? The frustration level is reaching CRITICAL MASS

They gave me a new password and they told me that I have to insert it into Netscape so that my server recognizes my Netscape. Unfortunately, I can't find the place where to insert the new Password.

When I open Netscape mail, I get the following message:
" The PASS command did not suceed. Mail server pop.vidoetron..ca responded: [AUTH] Authentication failed"
Where do I go from here?
Posdrawiam, BogdanI'd call your ISP back, stay on the phone with them, while you're trying to login, and tell them what's happening.
