Solve : problem with firefox addon, favicon picker? |
|
Answer» so i have been using this addon called favicon picker to add favicons to the bookmark toolbar, but after upgrading to firefox 3.5 it is not doing what i want it to do. i checked and it is compatible.so i am not sure what to do,i emailed the developer but no response. here are the steps that used to work i bookmark a page to the toolbar, right click and properties, browse to the favicon i found for the site and select the favicon now the favicon is showing in the properties section but when i click save, the favicon is not showing,i am attaching a screen shot of what i am left with(the one for codeplex)so my question, is there any other way to make the favicon show on the bookmark toolbar or in the bookmark folder? this is a good clean look and provides quick acsess to my FAVORITE sites i hope there is another way! Question: Wouldn't that just add a bookmark to his bookmark toolbar? He wants to change the icon that is displayed for the bookmark. bobgar34, are you using "Favicon Picker 3"? Quote from: Kip on July 02, 2009, 05:54:53 PM Wouldn't that just add a bookmark to his bookmark toolbar? When i do it it places the favicon there... I then select Properties for it and delete the Text to save real estate. He wants to change the favicon to a different icon. For example, SpellCheck.net does not have a favicon. Favicon Picker would let you choose an icon to be displayed for this site.So right clik the link/favicon and select properties/customise... Ooops NEVERMIND. Right-click the bookmark, click properties, and the icon can be changed from there. I am guessing bobgar34 is using an older version of Favicon Picker. |
