Solve : problem with old floppy drive? |

Answer» Hello, I am a new Linux mint 13 user and having problems with an old floppy drive. When i double click on the icon a pop up comes up saying no media found. I tried the mount and unmount, not sure if i typed it correct. I STILL can not get it to WORKARE you sure this drive is a good working 3.5" floppy drive? I used Mint 13 Cinnamon with a USB external 3.5" 1.44MB floppy drive and it mounted just fine to test to see if it had any issues with Floppy Drive support since just about no one uses floppy drives anymore. The 20 year old floppy in the drive with Wolfenstein 3D was able to be read without any problems. I DIDNT have to do anything special to mount this drive.
