Sorry if this question has been ASKED before, I did read through some of the posts, but couldn't find my problem.

I downloaded Firefox a few months ago, but it will not let me perform SOFTWARE updates. Does anybody know why? I have a Mac and I'm sure I download the Firefox version for Mac.

Are you doing anything else while you are software updating?
When you are running software updates, or installing new security patches, you shouldn't do anything with your Mac while it's running through the last "Optimizing System Performance" phase of a software update.It will not let me perform updates! It says updates completed, but I can see the last update was from the spring. So something is wrong I just can't figure it out.What exactly are you trying to update?You could always do a backup of your Profile and DLoad and INSTALL the latest MAC version and Import the Profile...Firefox has got to be the best browser. how can anyone think IE is great with all the current problems it is always having come on.
Even chrome is better than ie and it runs much smoother. I haven't changed over yet my love for firefox is too real.
