I was trying to log in to a site I get the message account access is restricted or using a proxy service.
I wrote and got a response back **Official message from Customer SUPPORT** The type of proxy you are using is blocked on our site. My question is what is proxy is this part of the browser and how do you fix a problem like this?

If you are connected to someone elses website wifi etc, and get this message then you may be being protected from monkey in middle hack to steal acct access from you.

If you installed a LOCAL proxy and now find a website blocking access through a proxy, then you need to not use the proxy and CONNECT DIRECTLY to the website.

In IE...go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections/LAN SETTINGS.....is use proxy checked or no ?I should mention I use Firefox 3.6.28 on AOL dialup if this make a difference.
