We use a proxy server for internet TRAFFIC at WORK. Most of our users are still quite illiterate when it comes to configuring their applications, IE included.
Those users who have laptops continually complain about not being able to access the internet from home. All of them, inlcuding the CEO SEE it as an inconvenience to have to go into the settings of IE and uncheck the use proxy box.
Does anyone KNOW of a way to SET the proxy preferences using a batch file or script that our users could run to set/reset proxy settings? We are using IE6

spacechimpMaybe creating two users, one with work settings, and one with home settings would be the easiest option.You can do this through VBS which you can use as a logon script if you want
