Answer» Can anyone using PSPP (the open-source version of SPSS) on linux tell me how WELL it works? I'm thinking of switching my emachines desktop to Linux but I need this program to run statistical tests for my PSYCHOLOGICAL research. Thanks for your help. J.Why not either install Linux in a dual-boot configuration with Windows, or install a VM (virtual machine) software such as VMWARE Player and install Linux in it as a VM? I'm not familiar with PSPP so I can only suggest you do a Google search for info it. I pretty much just switched to Linux anyways, it's simply better. Unfortunately, I'm using Maverick Ubuntu and it keeps freezing up on me, MAYBE I need a lighter distro. The official released version 0.6 however is very old.
