I have microsoft windows XP and can only connect to the INTERNET in safe mode. A week ago i use ad-ware 07, defragmented and disk cleaned my computer. All seemed fine at first but then i started to notice that i couldnt connect to the internet and if i did it only lasted for a couple of seconds. I noticed that the ethernet light was flashing on my moderm. I have CHECKED with my provider and they have said that it's fine but to use it in safe mode as some how the security has been effected. I have very limited KNOWLEDGE of computers and i really could do with some advise.

Disk clean screwed somethign up I believe.
Start - Programs - Accessories - SYSTEM tools - System Restore
Choose a time and date before you used Disk clean.Thank you, all sorted now!!!! How would diskclean screw something up ? ?
