You want parental control software? Some ISP's (internet service provider) offer this or you can purchase it. Ask your friends what they use.

Here's one, I know nothing about it: http://www.netnanny.com/This is somewhat related: are there extensions for Firefox that would allow me to block CERTAIN content?Sorry, I don't know. I use this: http://www.sankey.ws/proxomitron.html

I tried a pre-release version of FireFox on WinXP. Sure looks like Netscape to me. Seemed to work a LOT better. I couldn't get Netscape to work at all on Win2k-Pro. All it gave me was BSOD's.Promoxitron

I regret to SAY the Proxomitron web FILTER is well and truly dead

Worth downloading the 'remains' (As they call it)?Use my link above or here. It's still alive and well, even if the originator has died.Cheers, I'll look into that.

Do you still use it?All the time. Works with all versions of Windows. I don't surf without it. I don't even notice any slowdown, if there is any. It also, doesn't interfer with other popup programs. I've got Yahoo popup blocker enabled, too.

Here's another link: http://www.proxomitron.info/
This one has the installer versions.I have considered recommending The Proxomitron several times but didn't because of the myriad of questions that was sure to follow and I don't have the time to follow up. I have used it since its inception and would not even consider connecting to the net without it. You can block anything you want blocked and practically REWRITE a web page as it loads. Once you get the hang of it, it is the best web filtering program ever written - bar none.netzero has some good software for blockingI have MSN (the web browser) and it has superb controls! Try it!
