Solve : Remove grub loader?

Answer»

Ok, so here's the PROBLEM. We trash-picked a (relatively nice) computer which has:

Ubuntu, with linuz 2.6.35-28-generic
Ubuntu, with linuz 2.6.35-28-generic (recovery mode)
Ubuntu, with linuz 2.6.35-27-generic
Ubuntu, with linuz 2.6.35-27-generic (recovery mode)
Ubuntu, with linuz 2.6.35-22-generic
Ubuntu, with linuz 2.6.35-22-generic (recovery mode
Memory test (memtest86+)
Memory test (memtest86+, serial console 115200)
Windows 7 (loader)  (on /dev/sda1)

So I want to remove the Ubuntu options and automatically boot windows 7 when the computer is turned on.  The problem is that none of the Ubuntu options work, and the only way that I have found that will allow me to edit GRUB, is through Ubuntu command line.  Is there any way to either edit GRUB from windows 7, or to SWAP over to the windows loader? (we do not have the disk to windows 7, as it wasn't with the computer when we found it)

Thanks for the help!I don't believe you have the LEGAL right to run Windows 7 if you "trash-picked" that machine.
What does  "trash-picked" mean?

If time is money, then the OP could do this:
1. Replace the hard drive.
2. Install a recent Linux  Mint  download:  http://www.linuxmint.com/
3. Sell it to somebody that LIKES it.

Otherwise, I have no idea why the OP wants o spend any time on  this if he does not want to sell it.

Friend went away to collage, Friend's mom decided to give away the computer. Thus we have a computer.

Windows 7 works, And I plan on using the computer. (Why would I sell a trash-picked computer? [who would BUY it?])

I'll try this out.

Why would it not be legal? Quote

Look for the COA on the back of the computer.  If it is there, the PC is still the one registered with MS. Make a backup of the OS..

If you want Windows 7, forget my remark about installing Linux Mint. Windows 7 can clean up the GRUB loader and overwrite it.
This might help.

You can run most Linux as a  VM if you have occasional desire to play with Linux.

Thanks for the help, ended up using easyBCD, (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDQmDY58yKk) don't know if that fully removed ubuntu, but now windows 7 loads right away.
