Solve : Running games on vista? |
|
Answer» If I were to get vista on my computer would I still be able to play older video games that were made before vista came out? (ex. Medal of Honor, Rome Total War, and any of the Battlefield games.)yesI've never had any problems running older games on Vista (Ultimate), including Rome: Total War, Diablo II, Warcraft III, the earliest Command and Conquer games, the earliest Age of Empires games, etc.additionally- a lot of the older games that don't work with Vista have patches AVAILABLE from enthusiasts that get them WORKING- Like need for speed:high stakes, for example. For starters, if an older game doesn't work on your Windows Vista computer, you can use a virtual partition. Most, if not all Vista computers come with a Windows XP (SP 2) virtual partition that you can use for compatibility. All you do is right click on a shortcut to the program, click 'Properties,' go to the 'Compatibility' tab, and check off "Run the program in compatibility mode for:" then select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)'. That should allow the game to run freely. Its not a virtual partition. Its just compatibility mode.LOL |
