Answer» Hello everyone , I have encountered a problem with scrolling down the pages , say I am scrolling down the page on ebay , in the middle of that page I choose an item , I click on it ,view it then I go back to search results and INSTEAD going to the middle of the page where I found my last viewed item the page goes right up to the top . I tried different sources of information but with no sucess , any help would be appreciated . I use the Backspace key ...How does that WORK? My most frequent method of going back is to right click and select Back from the right-click menu.Alt + <- works as well... Alt Back arrow that is...If I use back arrow the page does go back to previous one only to the top of that page , it does not go back to the place where I stopped scrolling , so if I stopped scrolling half way through one page , I picked an item viewed it then went back to previous page I would be at the top of that page instead of half way down , it is so annoying .ALT + back arrow... Up arrow goes to the top of the page...I've got a five button mouse and one of the buttons is programmed for back. Works great! On MSNBC when I'm in the middle of the page and I hit the back button and it will go to the top of the page for a second, then go back to where I was within a second or two. Have you tried a different browser?Quote How does that work? The backspace key is commonly used to go back a page when EXPLORING folders in GRAPHICAL environments, or when browsing the Web in web browsers. I confess I don't recall ever being aware of this use of the backspace key. I just tested it right in this forum and, by golly, it works. Glad it worked for you, soybean. Always happy to teach an old bean a new trick. |
