Solve : search engine - google chrome?

Answer»

Hi

Today, my default SEARCH engine automatically changed for Yahoo (It was Google). So I thought that a PROGRAM changed it, logical, right?

Consequently I fixed the "problem" (I don't think I need to say how ). BUT when I closed the browser (Google Chrome), it changed BACK for Yahoo... I retry, but the The same thing happened.

And the only program I recently installed was Notepad++

Frustrating

P.-S.: Sorry if my English is bad  Notepad++ doesn't change brower settings...

Have you tried reinstalling? Quote from: kpac on October 06, 2011, 03:38:26 PM

SOLVED!!! Thanks Kpac  Forget what I said  When I restarted my computer, Windows said that he blocked a program who want to change the default search engine (for Internet Explorer) . And I don't know what is this program .

I will need to investigate to find this program (It's definitely not Notepad++).
Anyone know if Google Chrome have a add-on/plug-in to block program who want to change the search engine?Use WinPatrol. Not sure if it work's with Chrome, but it should.I installed WinPatrol (FREE edition) but I don't know how it work  It will alert you in FUTURE when a program tries to change the default search settings.
