Answer» I cannot connect to the Google or Yahoo! servers when using the search engines. This has suddenly happened today. Yahoo! is my Home PAGE and works OK. Tried to update Google. Won't connect. What browser (s) have you tried this with (and what version)? What if anything can you relate to that you did or occurred COINCIDENT to this problem 1st OCCURRING? What is your operating system? truenorthMy neighbough has just told me that she is having the same problem today. Just cannot connect to 'Google'. I can get them via iPhone but not on Laptop. Will see what HAPPENS in the morning. Just will NOT link to either <www.google.com> or to <.co.uk> Do you and your neighbor have the same ISP ? ? Thanks. We are BOTH with BT. I will contact them. Just waiting for BT to respond. Pete.Contacted BT. They run some tests, and, although everything else has been OK, I rebooted the Router and everything now seems to be workin. Thanks to you who responded. Pete.Yes the "rebooting" of the router is often a solution in connection problems. However it is usually total and not specific to an individual site or group of SITES. It either connects or it doesn't. I used to have this problem frequently and unplugging the router for a minute or two would reset it. In my case it has just ceased to occur. Glad you have so far eliminated the problem.truenorth |
