Answer» Dear god somebody help me. What version of Windows? What service pack? What version of IE? What virus/spyware protection is being used? When did this start? And of course, etc.oh my. Yea if I'm to be perfectly honest, my entire computer is a disastor and there is probably no helping me. I'm not the best when it comes to computers. I really don't know anything about mine. It was put together from scratch by a friend, who I'm no longer in contact with, so it has no manual and everything has been ripped off I believe. ok I've got some stuff. I'm using Windows Xp Professional, Version 2002, Service pack 2, IE 6.0, Symantec client firewall, which is turned off and doesn't work properly anyways (as soon as I open it it also says it needs to be shut down). I've been having the problem ever sinced I tried to play a game (1 week ago). Some other problems I've sort of worked around: Hotmail doens't work properly in IE, it freezes on every page, but it will work in firefox. Windows live messenger works VERY RARELY, usually just opens up and freezes, but I can get the really old version to work. Alot of websites don't show up properly, the links aren't on them. Anything else I can tell you? Quote What version of Windows? What service pack? What version of IE? What virus/spyware protection is being used? When did this start?
