Answer» Need expert suggestions as to which to install. I hear views for &AMP; against both. Help ! I have Windows 7.They are the same program - IE9 is obviously newer. Use whichever you like.IE9, being newer, will be more likely to get critical security updates sooner than IE8 (not that microsoft is necessarily fast about that anyway) and will be supported longer. Some websites may ALSO look better in IE9 due to updates and new features.IE9 was RELEASED in March 2011, or 1 1/2 YEARS AGO. And, of course, you've been prodded by Windows Updates to get IE9. So, why stick with IE8?
