Answer» I have wind. XP on a brand new notebook. i have mcafee SECURITY, settings at default, AUTOMATIC updates, cable connection, MS internet explorer. this is the thing, i can view any page on the internet but when i want to log into my hotmail account or my yahoo account i put in my user/pass and then hit enter, the screen goes all white and then the login page refreshes, it won't let me login, but when i have logged into those accounts if i'm on another computer. REALLY wierd. downloaded firefox from mozilla, still get the same result.McAfee is the problem, obviously. Do you really want that? Disable it and try it to make SURE. If you can't FIGURE out how to disable it, just uninstall it.
