Hi, i recently got a new laptop, HP pavilion Dv6-3140, after about 2 weeks of using it a heating problem developed
i did not mind until 5 days later all my games started to lag,......eg.....( crysis could only be played on low graphics any thing above that started to lag like *censored*..), some games even had discolorations and corrupted MAIN menus where you cannot start the GAME at all.............!!!!
The next day i took it to the HP service center and got the heating problem fixed, but then when i got home and tryed to run the games they were still
slow(lagging)
laptop is under warranty till October...

This is my PC info::
1. Windows 7, Home Premium, Services pack 1, on 64-bit
2. intel core i5 CPU, M 460 at 2.53GHz
3. Total RAM 4 GB
4. Graphics PROCESSOR is a ATI Mobility Radeon 5650, which is 1 GB

This sounds like something that isn't user serviceable. I suggest you take advantage of your warranty.Maybe you need to clean the registry in your system. If this cannot solve the problem, run DX DIAG to check the DirectX status of your system. If there is anything wroing with your DirectX....that would be a nightmare....as the support man of microsoft has said, you need to reinstall your operating system to fix DirectX errors.
