Answer» HELLO everyone,

I have downloaded stumbleupon for Ie and really enjoy using it.However almost every time I switch my computer on and off the Stumbleupon toolbar has disappeared and I have to download it all again. This is becoming a pain.Does anyone know hoe to stop this happening please?

Thank you

Lotti50Hello Lotti. You don't have the add-on Web Developer INSTALLED by any chance, do you? It is because the add-on is known to cause such conflicts. If that doesn't work, can you please post a list of what add-ons do you have installed? Let us know as soon as possible.

-- GokuNo ,I don't have web developer.Sorry but my knowledge is really basic- how would I find out what add-ons I have? I use google toolbar and McAfee site advisor if that helps at all. Hello Lotti. If you are using Internet Explorer, then the following article might help you out to manage your add-ons.

How to manage Internet Explorer add-ons in Windows XP Service Pack 2

If the above LINK is of no help, please clarify what browser are you using in your next post. Good Luck.

-- GokuOk,these sre the add-ons which are enabled;

Google
Google toolbar helper
Google toolbar notifier
McAfee phishing filter
MCAfee Site Advisor (toolbar and browser helper object)
Realplayer download
McAfee Scriptproxy
Shockwave Flash Object
Spybot Search And Destroy (Browser Extension)
Spybot SD IE Protection (Browser Helper Object)
XML DOM Document (Microsoft) Activex Control

Does this help to help me please?

Thank you

Lotti (I use IE 7,by the way).
Thanks for the list Lotti as it has surely made my task easier. First of all, I note that you are using Toolbars that is to say that you are using Google Toolbar and StumbleUpon Toolbar. I THINK you should UNINSTALL the Google toolbar and see if the second one works or not.

Toolbar for Internet Explorer

Restart your computer and see if the Toolbar returns or not. Good Luck.

-- GokuI just wondered, before I do that,I quite like the google toolbar,is there any way of using both together? Hello Lotti. What I am asking you to do is just a part of my theory. If uninstalling the Google Toolbar does not help with the problem, you may reinstall it as then I can be sure that the culprit is some other program. Hope that eases your doubt.

-- GokuYou don't have to uninstall any add-ons.
In IE go here:

Disable all add-ons, except for Stumbleupon.
See, if it's still there after restart.
If so, try enabling add-ons one-by-one.
