Solve : Temporary Internet Files Won't Delete?

I have Windows Me. When I CLICK Tools - Internet Options - Temporary Internet Files - Delete Files & Delete all OFFLINE Content....my computer hangs & then goes blank. I have to unplug it to restart it. Ran Spybot S&D & there are no problems there. Any suggestions? Also, can I go to "C" - Windows Folder - Temporary Internet Files & delete those files that way? Try using ccleaner ...... http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/  it will do exactly what you want and a lot more .......... Give it a try .
