Answer» Long / short New puter HP Pavillion Dv6, Win 7 (love it) and it keeps asking me if I want to upgrade to IE8 ? On the fence but it seems to be problematic judging from some of the threads here. Think I should leave well enough alone and stay with what I have. And you folks think..........1) It's not problematic 2) DOWNLOAD and install it. If you don't like it you can always uninstall it This really isn't a major decision I thought Windows 7 had IE8 preinstalled... Anyway, I agree with Allan, take IE8 for a spin and see if you like it. Everytime I first use IE a screen comes up asking me to upgrde to IE8 ? If it was already installed would it ask me to upgrade? And how do I verify which version of IE I am using.
