compaq pIII system with 256 RAM i installed Ubuntu in it but i still have problem with sound i think it's drivers problem can any one tell me how to install driver i don't know MUCH about linux and Ubuntu

i'm new with linux :-/What is the sound chip? Onboard sound or ADD on CARD? Did you do any online research? What version of Ubuntu? See below.
