Solve : unable to open chat portion of web cam show?

I have been having trouble, for some reason I cant open up the chat portion of web cam shows, such as I friends. I was advised to down load a Java UPGRADE but EVEN that DIDNT do the trick.  I cant open it even with a right click.  Can someone please help me, if you need more information let me know.Did you installer the proper drivers?
I am not to literate in this area, what drivers, and probably not....please advise.....Try downloading it from here
