Answer» I have a HP with windows vista about 4 yrs old. When I try to open the control panel I get a message that reads "INTERNET explorer found a problem and is SHUTTING down." Then down it goes. Please, any suggestions would help. Internet Explorer is a web browser. So, I'm wondering whether you really meant "Windows Explorer", which would make more sense regarding the problem with Control Panel.
