Solve : Uninstallation of S.t.a.l.k.e.r does apparently not remove all game files? |
|
Answer» Hi So delete the stalker folder? The only folder I can find is empty. One thing I don't understand thought, Yesterday after I had uninstalled the game, the used disk space was 111 GB, then after a while it was 110 GB. Today when I checked it was just 109 GB. Is it POSSIBLE that the disk space still in use just is some temporary files used when the game installed and will be delited by itself over time?Could be that.....or it could be windows temporary files.Do you try disk clean up in the poperties of the drive you install the game? Do you have norton protected recycle bin or something similiar, try empty that Any more info??De-fragment your hard drive....... Download "Your Uninstaller 2006" its a program and its very powerful to installer most of the complicated software like Norton........ You would love to search for some cleaners that will clean your garbage for unnecessary files but "Your uninstaller 2006" has this option build in already. Good luckThanks for all the advice. I am already using disk cleanup utility and disk defragment regularly. I should check out "Your Uninstaller 2006" soon. Did read that the trial version of the program is free for use for an unlimited time, which is excellent. It's not necessary the game. Every computer uses some allocated disk space for various processes, and it's not always obvious what is taking an extra space. Can be your hibernation file, for instance. So it might not be because of the game the extra space is used. I don't need to care much next time this happends then. "Your Uninstaller 2006" seems like an interesting and usefull program anyway. I am pleased with the answers. Thank you all for the usefull info. |
